Lockdown Day 52: 4am thoughts

When I was young I had three polio doses, as well as diphtheria, tetanus, measles, rubella, and tuberculosis shots. We took fluoride tablets for our teeth, and I regularly stood on bees and reacted to their stings.

When I was 19, I jumped out of a plane twice. I’ve been microlighting, paragliding, parascending and ziplining and love the Big 5 at Rainbows End.

I took the contraceptive pill so I could make love but not babies. When I’m older and not feeling so good, I intend to take medicinal anything with the THC included.

I’ve explored 55 countries, eating unfamiliar foods, staying with people I’d never met before, taking more vaccines for typhoid, malaria, yellow fever, hepatitis and rabies, travelling on many flights, trains, boats and driving probably millions of miles.

I’ve eaten loads of preservatives and enjoyed too much of the poison that is sugar.

When I started work in the 1980’s, I sat in a haze of smoke with a whole group of people who smoked at their desks. I’m pretty sure that looking at a computer screen for most of my career has seriously damaged my eye sight/health, and I wouldn’t be surprised if holding my mobile phone so much gives me a tumour in my hand.

But, wonders of wonders, I’m still alive! And I want to keep on living life with those I love, instead of hiding in my house.

So if I die from my second jab, so be it. I could die from anything that I choose to do this week. My affairs are in order. My sister knows where they are 🌻
